Carnaross travelled to a blustery Duleek Gaelic Park in the first round off the Division 3 League and got off to an explosive start with an emphatic win over Duleek/ Bellewstown.

Carnaross were in control from the very start with goals coming from Patrick McDermott, Pauric O’Connor, Frank O’Reilly and two from the boot of Liam Day.

The match was controlled from the back with Ciaran McDonagh and Aidan Lynch in fine form. Cian O’Reilly and Stephen Gillic did well at midfield while Frank O’Reilly, Liam Day, Patrick McDermott and John Brogan all took control up front.

Carnaross continued their winning ways with a strong performance again over visitors Slane. This was a good all round team effort from everyone involved and at times was a treat to watch the way they combined as a unit to play the ball off each other and create the vital scores to secure another great win and finish with two wins out of two. Ciaran Mc Donagh as always shored up the backs from the word go along with good games from Aidan Lynch at centre back Garreth Muldoon and Jack Wyse on the wings, Cian O’Reilly and Stephen Gillic at midfield, half forwards Patrick McDermott, Frank O'Reilly and John Brogan excelled and sharp shooter Liam Day up front plagued the Slane goalmouth.

Carnaross 2-21 Kilbride 5-9

Carnaross made the long journey to Kilbride worthwhile when they came away with a win. After a dominant start they built up commanding lead at half time and were winning by 14 points. After a few position changes from Carnaross, Kilbride crept back into the match and brought the score down to 8 points. They went on to score 2 late goals and put the match into the boiling pot. A few quick changes from Carnaross helped to settle the bombardment from Kilbride to see out the match with a 3 point win. Carnaross were well represented by Cian O’Reilly, Ciaran McDonagh, Aidan Lynch, Stephen Gillic, Patrick McDermott, John Brogan, Brian O’Connor, Jack Wyse and the hard working Frank O’Reilly and Liam Day.

Carnaross 8-13 Gaeil Colmcille 3-7

Played in Kells – 2/10/2011

Carnaross went on a goal scoring spree in Kells in this Round 4 match against Gaeil Colmcille. They say goals win games and this was definitely the case as Carnaross were camped in the Kells half of the field for most of the game and these goals sprinkled with a spree of points paved the way for a great victory securing a fourth win in the competition. The goals came from Cian O’Reilly with two long range shots, Aidan Lynch with two bullets, two gems from Patrick McDermott and one each from John Brogan and Ciaran McDonagh.
