Carnaross under 12s overcame the disappointment of a final defeat earlier in the year to win the Summer League with an excellent team performance against near neighbours Round Towers in the final.
Carnaross hit the ground running and raced into a three point lead in the opening stages. Round Towers managed to force their way back into the game and notched three scores in the space of a few minutes. Carnaross were able to keep them at arm’s length and held a 4 point lead at half time.
The second half was competitive throughout with both teams showing serious determination. The Carnaross midfield duo of Paddy Morris and Oisín Yore kicked some great scores to keep their side in front while the defence remained strong. Carnaross held a 4 point lead at full time for a well-deserved win.
This has been a memorable year for this talented team with victory in the Summer League following the final appearance earlier this year and they look set to have a bright future in the maroon and saffron.
