The home side found the going tough in the opening half but goals from dominant full back John Brogan and flying corner forward Patrick McDermott gave them a lead which they never relinquished. Further points from Brogan, McDermott, Declan Reilly and Cian O’Reilly gave Carnaross a 2-6 to 0-5 lead at the break.
Carnaross picked up where they left off in the second half. A further 12 points, including 4 from the boot of wing forward Killian Porter, and a goal from Reilly left the home side with a 3-18 to 0-10 lead at the full time whistle. The win leaves Carnaross unbeaten at the top of the table and in prime position to secure promotion heading into the final rounds.
