Carnaross made it four wins from four in the group stages of their Junior C campaign with a victory over Blackhall Gaels.
Carnaross 0-15 Blackhall Gaels 0-7
Junior C Championship (Round 4)
Played in O’Mahony’s – 27/8/2018
With progress to the quarter finals already secured, the north Meath men took a while to get going and were guilty of spurning some good chances in the opening half. Blackhall Gaels strung together a few points to inspire a mini revival, but despite this Carnaross were rarely threatened and looked comfortable.
There were some fine performances throughout the side with the full forward line of Alan O’Reilly, Shane Casserly and Paul Donoghue contributing a combined 7 points while midfielder Dillon Fox got forward for 4 points. The defence also played their part and limited Blackhall’s scoring opportunities. The win seals top spot in the group for Carnaross and they go on to face Simonstown in the quarter finals.
